A few days ago, the first wireless substation full wireless online monitoring system completed by Shenyang Automation Research Institute and Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. was successfully put into operation in Hejia 220KV intelligent substation in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province.
The intelligent wireless substation full wireless online monitoring system project is a science and technology project of Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd., and also one of the national major special projects "sensor network development and application verification for safety monitoring, transmission efficiency, metering and user interaction for smart grids". The project adopts WIA industrial wireless technology led by Shenyang Automation Research Institute to improve the monitoring device of traditional substation equipment, which can monitor the temperature rise status of lightning arrester, transformer core, SF6 gas and busbar junction in real time. In order to meet the schedule requirements of the project, the staff of the smart grid research team of Shenyang Automation Research Institute worked overtime to overcome difficulties and went to the site for debugging many times. The entire system has withstood the test of extreme cold weather.
The use of the system shows that the wireless communication performance of WIA is comparable to that of wired communication, and it can be seamlessly connected to the auxiliary control system of the intelligent substation, providing abundant predictive maintenance information for the operation and maintenance personnel of the power supply bureau. The person in charge of the site of Chaoyang City Power Supply Bureau gave full recognition to the system, and the general manager of Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. also gave praise after inspection. The application of the system has achieved a good demonstration role.
