BYK-Chemie has introduced three new dispersing agents for color masterbatch production under the trade name Disperplast. According to the company, this series of products are highly functional copolymers whose performance is unmatched by standard paraffin or metal soaps. This is because they do not act as a lubricant but adhere to the pigment surface. Among them, Grade 1010 is used together with color masterbatches used in cast film and thin-walled product molds to improve color fastness and reduce the amount of pigments to be added; Grade 1011 can reduce the filtration time when extruding films and fibers.
