Abstract: In the past, Coenzyme Q10 has been used as a drug to improve myocardial metabolism in Japan, but with the revision of the list of food and drug regulations in 2001 (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), Coenzyme Q10 was included in the food classification, and it was introduced as an addendum. . In the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, the analysis method of Coenzyme Q10, which is included in the name of ubiquinone, is an HPLC method. This article describes the analysis of coenzyme Q10 in commercially available foods.
