New polyurethane fungicide available on the market

Buffalo Grove, Ill., USA, December 1, 2009 As more and more attention is paid to the potential health hazards of products containing phthalates, many countries have legislation that prohibits or restricts the use of such additives in plastic products. Recently, Dow Chemical's business unit, Dow Microbial Control Technology, recently introduced two phthalate-free fungicide products: the VINYZENEIT3020CPF and the VINYZENEIT4008CPF.
Phthalic acid additives cannot be used for compounds and processing equipment for some flexible PVC and other polymers. Non-phthalate carriers have been developed. VINYZENEIT4008CPF and VINYZENEIT3020CPF are effective bactericides that can prevent mold erosion for a long time and prevent its surface growth, as well as permanent staining, embrittlement and premature product failure.
The two VINYZENE products can increase the durability of plastic products and increase their value. This is an important advancement in the plastics industry and a promise to develop more sustainable products for customers. In order to further help customers comply with global regulations, Dow Microbial Control Technology Business Unit provides comprehensive microbial, chemical and physical testing equipment to help manufacturers find the most effective fungicide for each compound.
In the production of vinyl plastic films, sheets, stamping profiles, plastisols, molded products, organosols, and textile coatings, it is recommended to use the VINYZENEIT3020CPF at concentrations between 0.4% and 0.6%. The VINYZENEIT4008CPF with a concentration of 1.0% to 1.5% can be used in the production of vinyl plastic films, sheets, stamping profiles, plastisols, molded products, organosols, textile coatings, polyurethane and polyurethane foams, and similar polymer systems. Vinyl formulations for outdoor applications are recommended to use a concentration of 1.5% for best results.
