The connector with the cable assembly plug-in should be supplied in a dry box at a temperature of 50 ± 5 ° C for at least 8 h. The connector should be connected in series with a strain relief cable clamp placed in a box that simulates the actual operating conditions.
1. Reduce the temperature inside the box to -55 ° C and maintain the connector temperature balance.
2. Reduce the pressure inside the box to a maximum of 2.7 kPa.
3. Maintain the above temperature and pressure for at least 1 h.
4. Unless otherwise specified, apply a 50 Hz 625 V (rms) voltage to the connector housing and all contact pairs for at least 1 min. A breakdown discharge should be considered to have failed if a voltage of 60 s or less is applied.
5. Disconnect the test voltage and increase the pressure and temperature in the chamber to the standard atmospheric conditions of the test until the connector temperature reaches equilibrium.
6. The connector is kept in the plugged state and the series circuit is disconnected. According to the method 3001 and method 3003 of the GJB1217-1991 standard, the withstand voltage test is performed, the voltage application time is at least 5 s, and the insulation resistance test is performed.
