Energy-saving injection molding machine introduction of new standards

For the injection molding machine, its “greenness” has been tested and certified by a third-party organization before the exhibition. In fact, China has recently set stricter standards for energy-saving injection molding machines than similar German standards.

According to Qian Yaoen, general secretary of the China Plastics Machinery Industry Association, in recent years, machinery manufacturers have increasingly promoted energy conservation as a selling point for products, but the regulatory system in this area has not been established in due course. He delivered a speech at the green forum held during the exhibition.

For this purpose, the Beijing-based trade group joined hands with the National Plastics Machinery Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and China International Rubber and Plastic Exhibition organizer, Adsale Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. to ensure energy-saving injection molding for the exhibition. Qian Yaoen said: “The practice of strictly certifying the energy-saving machines exhibited at the plastics trade show was the first time ever.” He added that due to global trends such as low-carbon footprint, energy conservation and sustainable development, The Chinese plastics industry showed signs of development and so adopted this approach.

The first set of industry standards introduced by China for energy-saving injection molding machines came into effect in the second half of last year. The standard divides all commercially available presses into six energy-saving grades—one of which is the most energy-efficient.

Qian Yaoen said that only the machines that consume more than 0.55 kWh of electricity per kilogram of product—that is, Tier 1 and Tier 2—can be labeled with energy-saving labels.

He pointed out: "Our standards are even more stringent than the 0.6 kwh/kg of similar European standards."

Although all-electric presses are still the most energy-efficient machines, some Chinese press makers have unveiled a new generation of servo-driven machines at the show.

He Huiwu, head of the market and international trade department of Datong Machinery Co., Ltd., said: "These servo-driven machines are moving closer to all-electric machines in terms of energy saving, but they are far superior to all-electric machines in terms of cost-effectiveness, durability, and low-speed performance. ."

Qian Yaoen said that Haitian International Holdings Limited's latest servo presses consume 80% less electricity than traditional models.

Guangzhou Bochuang Machinery Co., Ltd. has also launched a series of patented servo-driven presses. President Zhu Kangjian told the US "Plastics News" that the servo motors it uses are independently developed by the company.

Qian Yaoen said: "If you are a buyer, when you see a self-proclaimed energy-saving press machine that has not obtained our third-party certification, you have to keep your eyes open."
