9. After the contrast and brightness are calibrated, it's time to calibrate the colors. If the monitor is RGB three-color adjustable, select "RGB Controls" adjustment.

After clicking the "Start" button, three ruler bars will appear on the screen to display the actual conditions of the three RGB colors. According to the relative positions of the colored arrows and the black arrows, the color of the display is adjusted until the three colored arrows are respectively aligned with the corresponding black arrows. Adjust the adjustment range to be small, wait a little after each adjustment, wait for the screen color to be stable and detected by the instrument. Because the three RGB colors are related to each other, they must be coordinated with each other to achieve the best results.

10. The above steps completed the physical calibration of the display, but this does not guarantee that the display effect of the display is accurate because the color characteristics of the various displays will be different. Finally, the ICC color profile needs to be generated based on the characteristics of the display. Eye-one Match generates a standard ICC file based on the measured results. After the generation is completed, it is written to the system parameters as the default color profile of the monitor.

11. After the ICC file is generated and called correctly, the following prompt window appears, indicating that the calibration was successful.

The prompt shows that after the above steps, the display has been accurately calibrated to generate the ICC file of the display, and the operating system and the image processing software all use this ICC file. Perhaps the color displayed by the monitor after calibration is not "looks the best," but it should be "closest to reality."

It should be noted that color management should be a complete process. Just calibrating the monitor lays the foundation for color management. It has been able to present the colors that are “close to the real thing”, but at this time, the input device needs to be established and used. , Such as digital cameras, scanners ICC file; it can preview the most practical output, but at this time you need to create and use output devices, such as printers, printer ICC files.
