These new types of non-standard cartons mainly include wrap-around cartons, separable cartons, triangular column cartons and large cartons.

Classification of cartons

Folding carton is a kind of sales package with the most extensive application and structural changes. It is generally divided into tubular folding carton, disc folding carton, tube disc folding carton, non-disc non-disc folding carton and so on.

Like the folding cartons, the paste cartons can be divided into three types: tubular, disc, and tray.

Folding carton design features

Folding cartons are generally made of folding-resistant paperboard with a thickness of 0.3-1.1mm. They can be folded and stacked for transportation and storage before being shipped. Both sides of the folding-resistant paperboard have enough long fibers to produce the necessary folding resistance and sufficient bending strength so that they will not crack along the indentation after folding.

The main varieties of folding paperboard are manila paperboard, white paperboard, boxboard, noodleboard, kraft paperboard, double-sided different-color paperboard, glass paperboard and coated cardboard.

The rigidity of a folded carton made of a paperboard less than 0.3 mm in thickness does not meet the requirements, and a board thicker than 1.1 mm is difficult to obtain a satisfactory indentation in a general folding carton processing apparatus.

When designing the folding carton, it is possible to select a suitable thickness of paperboard depending on the carton volume and the weight of the contents.

The main structure of the folding carton is mainly divided into several major categories such as tube type, disc type, tube type and non-tube type.
