Animaqing is also known as Mount Majestic. Located in the Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, it is located in the branch section of the east Kunlun Mountains. The main peak of Maqinggang is 6282 meters above sea level, located at 99.4 degrees east longitude and 34.8 degrees north latitude. The Animaqin Tibetan Book, which means the highest waiter in front of the living Buddha, is regarded as a sacred hill by Tibetan compatriots. Every year, a large number of pilgrims go to the mountains to savor water and live in solitude to worship.
Animaqin is the largest mountain in the Yellow River. The Animaqing Mountain runs west-southeast and is about 28 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide. China’s second largest river, the Yellow River, turned southeast after a 180-degree turn on Majiaxue Mountain. Ma Qinggang’s main peak is in the middle of a major turn. Around Maqinggang, there are 17 peaks above 5,000 meters above sea level. Far from the prospects, Biyun Wanli, the peaks of the snow, like crystal jade, crystal clear, very spectacular.
The modern glaciers in the Animaqing Mountains are well developed. There are more than 40 glaciers in size, covering an area of ​​about 150 square kilometers. They are rich in water resources, and the glacial melt water flows into the water systems of the Yellow River tributaries such as the cut wood. At the foot of Mount Majestic is a rich alpine pasture with intertwined springs and streams that irrigates countless grasslands called Meidutang. In the summer, there are flowers, grass and cattle on the beach. On the eastern side of the main peak, 4000 meters above sea level, there are dense bushes. Below the altitude of 3,200 meters, it is the coast of the Yellow River surrounded by mountains. It contains a lot of virgin forests, pine forests, and ancient cypresses. Ma Qing is rich in natural resources, including precious Chinese caterpillar fungus, snow lotus, etc. Alpine chickens, horses, snow leopards, and white-lipped deer live in alpine meadows and forests.
Animaqin was once called "the mysterious Animaqin." When an American climbed to Animaqin 4,900 meters in 1926, he estimated that there were about 3,600 meters from the summit. Later, he also wrote that the main peak of Maling is 8,500 meters, even higher than Mount Everest. The first peak of the world is in Qinghai.
Climatic conditionsHere is a continental climate, the weather is fickle, sometimes changing the number of days, alternating wind, snow and hail. According to actual measurement, before the end of April each year, it is dominated by blizzards and heavy snow. From early June to the end of August, it is rainy, rainy and full of snow, sometimes accompanied by tornadoes, and the daily precipitation of about l0 mm often lasts for more than 20 days. The lowest temperature in a year is January, and the peak temperature can reach below 50°C. From the end of April to the beginning of June and September and October of each year, the minimum temperature of the main peak is 30°C. The northwest and northeast winds are the most prosperous in the whole year, and the westerlies are also more. Winds were greatest in February, March and April, and March was the highest. Winds with wind speeds above 17 m/s are often continuous for more than 15 days. At 4700 meters above sea level, the maximum wind speed can reach 40 meters/second.
Into the mountain route From Xining, the provincial capital of Qinghai Province, by car to Matang (Dawu) where Guoluo Prefecture is located, it takes 638 kilometers and takes 2 days. However, in winter, heavy snow sometimes stops the mountain and traffic stops temporarily. From Malang, along Dongdiaogou to Xueshan Township, the distance is 55 km. In the rainy season, frequent mountain torrents prevent traffic. From the snow-capped mountains to the horse or the consumption of cattle, it is possible to trace the distance of more than 30 kilometers west of the Mushi River to the mountaineering base at the end of Quhajang Xiaoma Glacier.
Another route to enter the mountain is to take a car from Xining to Qinghai Lake and then to the hot springs. This section of road conditions is good, the entire 460 km. It is 360 km from the hot springs to the base camp. Formal climbing requires 9 days in good weather conditions. Then from the base camp to Malang and Guide, return to Xining. This route climbed the second peak of Animaqing Mountain, 6268 meters above sea level. Its climbing route is shorter, and the mountain shape of this mountain is more steep.
In 1949, another American measured the altitude of Ma Qing, which was 9041 meters and was the highest in the world. During this period, some exploration teams came to this place, but they all failed to return. Until 1960, when Beijing University of Geosciences climbed up to Ma Qingfeng, Ma Qing was gradually recognized.
In June 1960, 11 climbers from the Beijing Geological Institute made their first summit along the northeast slope of the Animaqing Peak.
In May 1981, 8 people from the Niigata and Niigata Mountaineering Team in Japan climbed the main peak along the southeastern ridge, Maqinggangri;
From July to August 1994, the Beijing Youth Climbing Team climbed Animaqing Peak. Due to the weather, the captain Wang Xiaozheng was unfortunately killed in the descent after the summit.
On August 1, 1996, five climbers from Peking University climbed Animaqing Peak.
Special Note:1. Transportation: Animaqin Mountaineering Base Camp is about 85 kilometers away from Dawu Township, the capital of Guoluo City. It has a high risk on Seogao Road. It is heavily frosted during the rainy season and the vehicles must have good off-road performance.
2. Accommodation: There are no food and accommodation spots along the snow-capped mountains. You must prepare food and camping equipment. In summer, you should prepare a sleeping bag that is minus 5 degrees to 10 degrees. The tent should have good waterproof and wind resistance.
3. The climate of Animaqing Mountain is poor, and the altitude is above 4,000 meters. There will be different degrees of alpine reactions. Anti-hypoxia drugs should be prepared to prevent colds.
4. It takes seven or eight days for a week to go to the mountains. If there is not enough energy, you can rent a horse or a yak through the Dawu Mountaineering Association. There are many mysterious natural phenomena that will test the piety of pilgrims when you turn the mountain.
