Made of raw materials made of stone

For two years, people have been making paper from plant fibers. Today, the application of a new technology allows stone to be used for papermaking.

Yunnan Yunfeng and other domestic paper-making companies have begun to replace some plant fiber raw materials with non-metallic mineral wollastonite to produce several tons of high-quality paper. It is estimated that for each ton of wollastonite ultra-fine powder used in papermaking, about 3.6 cubic meters of wood can be saved, and the “black liquor” discharge during the wood pulping process is also reduced, thus protecting the environment. Paper made from stone materials not only has the advantages of waterproofness, tear resistance and impact resistance, but also can reduce the cost from 100 to 300 yuan for each ton of wollastonite ultrafine powder.
