The classification of packaging by form can be roughly divided into three types:

Functional Classification of International Logistics Packaging

1. Transport Packaging. Transportation packaging is the packaging that transports and stores as an important purpose, that is, packaging that requires logistics. It should be called industrial packaging. China's national standards for transport packaging are defined as: “Packages with the main purpose of transport and storage. It guarantees the safety of products, facilitates storage and transportation, speeds up handovers, inspections, etc.” As can be seen from the national standards of our country, Transport packaging involves multiple departments and multiple operations. The quality of packaging reflects, in a certain sense, the development level of a country's overall productivity.

The main role of transport packaging is to protect functions, quantitative (unit) functional convenience functions and functions and efficiency functions.

2. Commercial packaging. Commercial packaging is also called retail packaging or consumer packaging. It is mainly based on the needs of the retail industry. As a part of the goods, it is also called a one-by-one package.

The main function of the business package is quantitative function, identification function, convenience function and promotion function. The main purpose is to promote or facilitate the retailing of goods on the counter or to improve the efficiency of the operation.
