Most of China's medium and small nitrogen fertilizer plants and city gas plants use wood lattice packing. In the process of gas purification, small nitrogen fertilizer plants use plate towers (swirl plate towers), and some use scattered and packed towers, no matter which All kinds of desulfurization methods use the sulfur recovery method and the sulfur paste is precipitated in the desulfurization tower. The conventional packed towers have the disadvantages of low desulfurization efficiency, high resistance and short service life. To this end, Zhejiang Juhua Co., Ltd. synthetic ammonia plant and Other units jointly developed a plastic (PVC, PP, etc.) grid filler, to meet different process requirements with different models.
The plastic grid packing adopts the plastic plate as the main mass transfer component, and the plastic plate is perpendicular to the cross section of the tower, so that the grating packing can provide the largest effective specific surface area during the operation, and the gas rising and liquid dragging resistance are greatly reduced. In addition, the stagnation, siltation, and clogging of dust-laden gas and dirty liquid in the tower are improved. Plastic grille packing has the advantages of large flux, low pressure, and strong anti-blocking performance. Grid filler is suitable for normal temperature (temperature 30 °C ~ 80 °C, PP material temperature up to 120 °C) and very dirty materials, such as atmospheric desulfurization, pressure desulfurization, dust gas cleaning and so on. The grid packing has the advantages of large flux, high desulfurization efficiency, and low pressure drop. Generally, the desulfurization efficiency is 80% higher than the plate tower, 50% higher than the 50 Pall ring, and the tower pressure drop is about 1/3 of the original packing. At present, eight specifications have been developed for plastic grid packing according to different process conditions, and its technical level ranks the leading position in the country.
