Recently, we conducted a survey on the carton printing factory to understand the problems encountered in the actual production of the production line and problems that were difficult to solve, and summarized them. Some of these questions have been answered by relevant experts, suppliers and users and some very good suggestions have been made. The interviewees of the survey were basically large and medium-sized carton factories with certain strengths. The following table shows the production conditions of some of the carton factories investigated. Problems in Plate and Platemaking In the carton factory investigated this time, the plates for carton printing have both rubber and photosensitive resin plates, and the photosensitive resin plates are used in the plates used in each carton plant. Possess majority. In the photosensitive resin plate, DuPont plate is also favored. However, the current plate material is also unsatisfactory. As for the corrugated box printing plate making method, the respondents had their own plate making, but most of them were made by a professional plate making factory. In general, the quality of the carton printing plate is good enough. Many carton factories are also equipped with three-color and four-color printing machines with higher automation. However, many products are still unsatisfactory. The place. Why is this? According to some industry insiders, 70% to 80% of the success of flexo printing products depends on the quality of the plate, and now there are some problems in the carton version. Manager Shi mentioned: On the one hand, there is a lack of communication between the plate making factory and the carton factory. For example, for some chromatic printing plates, the plate-making manufacturers are not familiar with the plate-making process, and they proceed with the normal plate-making process, resulting in frequent occurrence of a bottoming phenomenon during printing. Everyone agrees that direct printing of corrugated board has the advantages of high production efficiency, low material cost, low plate making cost, large product specifications, wide application range, high strength of carton, neat appearance, and favorable environmental protection. However, this printing method also has its own defects, mainly because its printing quality remains to be improved.
What are the factors that restrict the improvement of corrugated box printing? What are the main problems in corrugated box printing? Here are some of the issues we learned in the survey:
(1) The smoothness of the board is poor, and the bottom of the board is exposed during printing, resulting in white holes. To solve this problem, the method often used is to increase the printing pressure. But this will have side effects, which on the one hand lead to the deformation of the dots and on the other hand the corrugated structure will be destroyed.
(2) In the carton production line, when the single knife is trimmed, the knife is cut from the top to the bottom, which often results in the edge of the cardboard paper being uneven. When the full-page printing is performed, the edge is not printed and the bottom is exposed. Although pressure can reduce this phenomenon, it cannot be eliminated.
(3) In the four-color printing process, the stencils often occur, resulting in the printing of Internet sites.
(4) In large-scale solid printing and multi-color printing, printing is performed with two or more kinds of inks that are blended with inks, and the ink is easy to be colored during slotting, pressing, and die cutting.
(5) The color printing ink has poor abrasion resistance.
(6) The ink adjuvant does not work well.
(7) Some printing plates need to be replaced (shared version), double-sided adhesive plates are used several times, and water seepage due to multiple cleanings will cause plate warpage.
(8) The writing is unclear, the overprinting error is large, and the printing plate, cardboard and ink are often unsatisfactory, affecting the product quality.
(9) The paper is off the paper, resulting in unclear prints and floral patterns.
(10) The flatness of the rubber plate surface is poor, resulting in whitening of the imprint. The problems in grooving, die cutting, nail box and adhesive box are no matter how good the printing quality is. Any problems in the following processes such as slotting, die cutting, nail box, adhesive box, etc. will affect the quality of the final packaging carton. After investigation, there are indeed many problems in these processes. This is summarized as follows and I hope everyone can help solve it.
Slotting (1) When grooving, cut the knife from the bottom up, often cutting the cardboard. Some manufacturers deal with this problem by changing the shape of the knife edge, but the effect is not obvious.
(2) The size of the natural box gap.

Die-cutting (1) Die-cutting pad material hardness is not enough (referring to circular die-cutting). Over time, the pad material will become thinner and affect the die-cutting dimension.
(2) White noodle paper cartons are easy to get dirty in die cutting.
(3) The hardness of the sponge strip used in the round press die cutting is insufficient, resulting in a paper edge knife, resulting in a change in the die cut size.
(4) Frequent replacement of products, some of which are not cut through when die-cutting.
(5) Die cutting (circular pressure circle) is not clean.
(6) It is easy to transfer the ink color to the surface of the carton through die-cutting and affect the appearance of the carton.
